If you pull from upstream without the --no-edit flag, you will get an editor page something like the below image. You might also see this in a team course when you are pulling your teammates' changes without the --no-edit flag.

To accept the default message:

  • In one of DSA's older containers that use the Classic Jupyter interface type: Control-X (at the same time.)
  • In one of DSA's new containers that use the JupyterLab interface, type: :q! and press enter.
